Stack's Bowers Galleries (& Ponterio) - Collector's Choice May 2023 Auction, Lot 72665 IRELAND. Groat, ND (1536-37). Dublin Mint; mm: crown. Henry VIII. PCGS Genuine--Excessive Clipping, EF Details. S-6473. Magenta gray and charcoal patina adorns both faces of this moderately circulated Groat. Ample detail remains in the centers, enhancing eye appeal, though the strike does show some weakness that is characteristic of the relatively crude issue. A sliver of metal is absent from the rim at 8 o'clock, hardly hindering overall enjoyment of this piece. Estimate: $100 - $150
