c.308 - 311 Domitius Alexander was a high-ranking administrator in Carthage loyal to the Maxentius-Maximinus II alliance. It seems Maxentius ordered tribute from Alexander and he refused. The legions proclaimed him emperor and he held on for about a year before succumbing to loyalist soldiers.
